The Board of Education adopts clearly defined written policies and rules to guide the operations of the school district. These policies are reviewed and acted upon at the Board of Education meetings that are held on the second Monday and the fourth Thursday of each month. Through policies and rules, the Board of Education establishes and communicates its focus on student learning and defines the limitations and directions governing all aspects of the District’s operations. Members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend all Board of Education meetings. The policies and rules of the Norfolk Public Schools are set forth herein and are for educational and informational purposes only. The official text of the Norfolk Public School’s Board of Education Policies is on file at the Central Office Administration Building, Superintendent’s Office, 512 Philip Avenue, Norfolk, Nebraska.
