Norfolk Public Schools earns ‘Diamond Badge’ School Safety and Security Certification
Norfolk Public Schools was recently awarded the Diamond Badge School Safety and Security Certification from the Nebraska Department of Education. The badge certification is from the ‘Place School Safety First’ initiative and recognizes schools who meet the highest standards of safety and security.
“We are thrilled to receive the Diamond Badge for school safety. Keeping students, staff and the community safe within our school buildings is a top priority for us. When everyone feels safe, we can focus on the outstanding learning that takes place “ said Mr. Chuck Hughes, Director of Student Services and Safety.
Schools can earn badges through four levels, diamond being the highest badge awarded. These badges signify schools’ commitment to the safety and security of all students, staff and visitors. When a safe education environment is provided, the highest level of learning can take place.
