Norfolk Public Schools uses a telephone mass communication system to individually notify families of school closings due to weather. Please take a minute to ensure we have the correct phone number in infinite campus. Having your voicemail set up is also very important if you are unable to answer the call.
When school is closed, the system will call the households of all students with this weather closing information. When a decision is made in the evening, we try to notify families by 10 P.M. When a decision is made in the morning, we try to notify families by 6 A.M.
Information about school closings is also announced on local radio and television stations, and on the Norfolk Daily News website.
