Mrs. Jones' News

Wow! I can’t believe it’s already May! I have an amazing group of first and second-graders this year. It’s been a fun journey watching them grow academically.  Throughout the year, the students have developed independence, deepened their sense of responsibility, and built strong connections with one another and the materials around them. It’s incredible to see how far they’ve come—from mastering foundational skills in math and reading to exploring cultural and scientific concepts with curiosity and confidence. We have made lots of wonderful memories together. Here are our favorite memories from this school year:

Abel - playing Tetris with Kenzie and Sawyer at Science Day
Benson - when Mrs. Jones says the alphabet backwards
Charlie - having Mrs. Jones as my teacher
Daphne - the Winter Choice Board
Griffin - weight measurement work with the scale
Kaylee - painting ornaments in Mrs. Rohrich’s class for Winter Choice Board
Kenzie - doing journals because I love to draw with them
Landry - painting pumpkins, Science Day, and the gift exchange
Lily - when they made the giant bubbles at the Science Day assembly
Maddox - painting pumpkins, Science Day, and Winter Choice Board
