The walls outside the art room are now significantly brighter thanks to a fantastic new collaborative school mural! Students from all grades recently completed a large project inspired by the work of contemporary artist Thank You X, known for his bold, geometric, and colorful style.

The process allowed every student to express their unique artistic voice. Instead of working on one large canvas, each artist was given a cube to decorate in whatever way they chose, resulting in a diverse and energetic collection of designs. Once finished, these individual cubes were pieced together to form one cohesive and stunning piece of wall art.

In addition to the collaborative work, the art room is now buzzing with energy as choice studio centers are opening up. These studio centers empower students to take the lead in their artistic exploration, allowing them to select a medium and an idea that genuinely interests them.

The centers currently open are drawing, painting and collage with more opening as the school year continues.  Students are thoroughly enjoying the freedom to pursue their own artistic vision. Whether it's crafting an intricate landscape, a bold abstract painting, or a detailed mixed-media collage, the new setup is fostering both independent thought and a deeper appreciation for the creative process.

Feel free to stop by and admire the brilliant new mural—and keep an eye out for the fantastic original works that are emerging from the art studio!
