MONTESSORI MUSIC NEWS
Kindergarten students have been very busy learning many new things in music class! We know about steady beat, melody, voice choices, loud and soft, and simple rhythm patterns, just to name a few. We are also learning to be active listeners. We enjoy singing and doing actions to our fall themed unit!
The first and second grade classes are learning to recognize notes, rests, and symbols in our music books. We are really doing an awesome job at reading music on the staff! We had fun singing and playing instruments along with a musical sound story about Johnny Appleseed!
The third and fourth grade students have also been very busy learning many new skills and vocabulary. We are really good at creating four beat rhythm patterns matching with October phrases! We also enjoy singing in unison voices and in two-part canons. What awesome talent!
We are having a great year in Montessori Music!
