On October 19, 2016 we went on a field trip to Lincoln. We went to Memorial Stadium, Morrill Hall, and the capitol building. I will tell about Memorial Stadium.
First, I got to go with a group of my friends. We all got to run on the football field. We had to run to the other end end and to the middle and back. It was an 80 yard run. I was wore out! I had a blast! We went to a room with a big wall that was a projection room. We saw the weight- lifting room. I could not touch the horseshoe.
Last of all, I had a blast with the group. I wish I could go next year. I had a great time.

The third and fourth grades went on a field trip to Lincoln, Nebraska. I will tell about Morrill Hall.
First, I’ll tell you everything we did at Morrill Hall. One of the things which I thought was cool was this museum bit. It had these buttons that you pressed and they made animal noises. It was really cool. Another thing I liked was Elephant Hall. There were tons of mammoth skeletons that were HUGE! ( I mean HUGE!) Their tusks were huge also. This was pretty much everything I did at Morrill Hall.

On Wednesday, October 19, 2016, the third and fourth grades of Lincoln Elementary rode on the Panther Bus to Lincoln. I loved going to Memorial Stadium.
First, we went in the projection room and we got to see the Heisman Trophy winners. The men that won were Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier, and Eric Crouch. We got to walk the tunnel walk on the red carpet. We all tried to touch the horseshoe. That gives the players good luck. I almost touched it! The stadium is very tall. The big screen is 40 yards wide. After the tour, we got to run on the field. The field is not really grass, it is turf. There were college students in the stands. We all yelled, ” We are champions. “They yelled and clapped.
Lastly, I had an incredible time in Lincoln. The stadium was my favorite part. I really loved running on the field. I love Lincoln!

Yesterday was really good. Instead of going to school, we got to go on a field trip to Lincoln, Nebraska. I liked the Nebraska State Capitol.
The elevator at the capitol was pretty fancy and fast. When we got to the top, there was a room that was like a mirror. You couldn’t tell where you were. All the boys took a picture together in the balcony. And guess what? There were diamond slits that I stuck my hand through. Back downstairs we sat in a big circle until this guy comes along. His name was Ted. I thought he was very boring. What I heard was blah, blah, blah. He did talk about the paintings, which was okay. He did show us a courtroom. They did a fake courtroom skit.
In conclusion, it was fun at the State Capitol. I wish I could go there again.

Yesterday we went on a field trip to Lincoln, Nebraska. I will tell about the Nebraska State Capitol. We rode down on the new Panther Bus.
First of all, on the 14th floor observation, we could see every corner of Lincoln from it. It looks like you are on top of the world! There are 7 judges in the Supreme Court. We couldn’t sit on the benches in the courtroom. We had to sit on the floor.
The Lincoln field trip was amazing. I hope to go back there. It was the best field trip ever!

On October 19th our class went to Lincoln. I will describe Morrill Hall. I will talk about mammoths, skeletons, and elephant skeletons too.
First, some of the mammoths were about 12-100 feet high. The elephants were at least 2 or 3 feet. Some were found at Ash Falls. The tusks are 6 - 12 feet long. An elephant tusk is 3-5 feet long.
In conclusion, it was the best field trip ever.

On Wednesday, October 19th we went to Morrill Hall, Memorial Stadium, and the Nebraska State Capitol. It was very cool. There was lots to see.
At the capitol, there were some very cool paintings. They showed spring, summer, fall ,and winter. They were amazing. I want to go there again. There was a huge wooden carved door. The carving was an Indian boy and girl. They were standing on animals.
All in all, the elevators were cool. On the 14th floor you could see the whole city of Lincoln. There were 3 state capitols built. The first one was not good, so they built the next one. The 3rd one was perfect. That’s the one I’m in now. They all were built in the same place.

Yesterday, October 19, we went to Lincoln. We visited Morrill Hall, Memorial Stadium, and the State Capitol. I will tell about Morrill Hall.
First, I liked the mammal exhibit. The exhibit contained a lot of stuffed animals. The wildlife exhibit was very cool. The animal skeletons were cool. When you walk in the door, you saw the head of an elephant and the bottom of one. The Tree of Life was one of my favorites. You could put your hand on this screen and a tree thing grew around them.
In conclusion, I had a great day. My Mom got to come on the trip. Thank you Mrs. Shoemaker and Mrs. Farlee.

My class and I went on a long field trip to Lincoln, Nebraska.
One place that I saw was Memorial Stadium.
We went in the projection room which talks about the Heisman Trophy winners. The weight room is where the players train and get stronger. We saw the lucky horseshoe, which I just missed touching. Then we went out the tunnel walk and ran on the field. We saw many trophies, like hundreds of them.
Last but not least, outside of the stadium we saw the statue of Eric Crouch and Coach Osborn. I loved the Lincoln field trip.

Yesterday was October 19. I went to Lincoln, Nebraska. I went to Morrill Hall, the stadium, and the State Capitol.
First, I really liked Memorial Stadium. I loved the field. I ran it 3 times. It was 80 yards long and 40 yards wide. The football players have to drink a 500 calorie smoothie. Now that’s a lot of calories! We also touched the horseshoe. I saw the weight room. I saw some of the players exercising. I saw many of their trophies.
I loved my field trip. I had the best time ever. I want to go there again.

I went to the Nebraska State Capitol Building. I saw the sower on the very top. It is a sower planting seeds. The dome on top is 400 feet!
We took the elevator to the look out level. The elevator made me dizzy. Ella, Sophie, and I felt sick. It went so fast.
Lincoln was a blast. The capitol was full of history. I love field trips!

Yesterday I went to the Nebraska State Capitol with my class. We went on the Panther Bus. There are TV’s on it!
First, we rode on an elevator at the capitol. We went to the 14th floor. I looked out and saw the city. It was cool. They started building the capitol in 1922. It was finished in 1932, so it took 10 years to build.
This was the best trip ever. I loved it!

On Wednesday October 19, 2016 the 3rd and 4th graders went to Lincoln, Nebraska. We went to three different places. I will tell about Memorial Stadium.
First of all, Memorial Stadium was a very cool place. When we got there we got to see a lot of things. The weight -lifting room was huge. They had mirrors in there. The coach’s offices were right above so they could see what was happening down there. It was pretty cool. There was an indoor football field. They used it for summer camps. Before the football players run on the field they touch a horseshoe for good luck. We all got to try to touch it, but it was too tall for us to reach. We got to jog through the tunnel walk. We got to run on the field also. There were so college students in the seats. We also got to go in this room to watch a Husker movie. Three pieces of the wall popped out. There were pictures of Mike Rozier, Johnny Rodgers, and Eric Crouch. They won the Heisman Trophies.
I loved our field trip, but the bus ride was long. I would like to go there again.

The 3rd and 4th grade rode on the Panther Bus to Lincoln, Nebraska. It was an amazing trip. We went to 3 different places.
First, at Morrill Hall there were lots of dinosaur bones. There were teeth about as big as my hand. Some of the heads were as big as me! There were also lots of mammoth bones. Some of the tusks were bigger than my Dad. And there were fish bones like 16 ft. long! On the top floor there were a lot of tools and crystals. The Indians used different kinds of weapons. Some of the swords had pirana teeth all around it, some with sharp metal, and some with feathers. Some of the arrows were bigger than me. We saw many beautiful crystals. There was a room with glow in the dark crystals. A huge one cracked open with beautiful purple crystals inside.
Lincoln was fantastic. I enjoyed learning a lot on this field trip. It was the best!
