High School Summer Scholars Program


In our High School Summer Scholars Program, students have the opportunity to enroll in courses and study alongside undergraduates. Students select from a broad range of stimulating introductory courses in the humanities, math, sciences, and social sciences.
 
High School Summer Scholars live on campus in one of our top-ranked, air-conditioned residence halls. In addition to coursework, students participate in college-reaqdiness seminars, academic support groups, and a variety of weekend and evening social events. Scholarship assistance is available for students who demonstrate financial need. We offer three different sessions:
 
     Session A:  June 11-July 15 ($8085)
     Session B:  July 16-August 18 ($8085)
     Session C:  June 11-August 5  ($10,585)

 High School Summer Institutes

The noncredit High School Summer Institutes explore a specialized interest, career, or major. Institutes combine traditional class and lab curriculum with field trips, guest lectures, and hands-on activities. Space is limited, so consider applying early!
 
Students in our High School Summer Institutes live on campus and participate in a number of activities outside of class including seminars, workshops, and social events. Scholarship assistance is available for students who demonstrate financial need. We off e a number of institutes:
     Pre-Medical: June 11-30 or July 16-August 4 ($5,585)
     Pre-Engineering: June 11-30 or July 16-August 4 ($5,585)
     Creative Writing: July 2-14 ($3,885)
     Communications: July 2-14 ($3,885)
     Global Leadership: July 2-14 ($3,885)
     Environmental Studies and Sustainability: July 2-14 ($3,885)
     Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Psychology: July 2-14 ($3,885)
     Personal Narrative: August 6-12 ($1,985)
     Young Leaders: August 6-12 ($1,985)

Eligibility

  • Current freshman, sophomore, or junior in high school
  • Minimum B+ GPA
  • TOEFL score of at least 90 for international applicants
