The art room at Grant is buzzing with creative energy as students put the finishing touches on their clay projects! All classes have successfully completed forming their clay, and students are in the middle of painting their masterpieces and to take home to share with families.
But the artistic journey doesn’t stop there! Two exciting art shows are on the horizon. First, the public is invited to celebrate the students’ talent at the Norfolk Art Center’s open house on Friday, March 8th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the incredible work our young artists have produced. Following that, the ESU 8 art show will be held at the Antelope County Fairgrounds in Neligh from April 11th to 13th, showcasing artwork from across the region. If your child's artwork is at either of these art shows, a note will be coming home soon!
Students are thriving with choice studio centers this year. We’ve opened up drawing, collage, painting, architecture and clay, and the kids are really exploring their individual styles and interests. Looking ahead, students can look forward to diving into even more diverse mediums. We’ll soon be adding more 3D sculpture, fibers, and printmaking to our studio centers, this will ensure a rich and varied artistic experience for all.
