"Each month, Norfolk Middle School celebrates character education. A trait is reviewed each month with a video and discussions in each classroom. The month concludes with a special assembly which celebrates the trait with selecting students of the month, special guest presenters, and games."

The Edgerton Science Center and Nebraska Game and Parks collaborated with teachers at Woodland Park to provide an exciting day of exploration and discovery. Students participated in labs including Slime, Rockets, Trebuchets. Demonstrations included Bubbles, Artic Blast, Sparks, Stopping Time and Good Vibrations. Wildlife was explored through working webs, Bird Beak Buffet and Who "Dung" it.
